There are no risk involved because before doing the procedure, you have to approve the ultimate shape which is drawn using a skin pencil. The same approval is required when determining choice of color.
A variety of colors are available for each procedure, which are selected, depending on the appropriate color for each client's skin stone. Micro-pigmentation is then performed using a hand held implanter that places the color in the dermis or second layer of skin.
It is a virtually a painless procedure using a topical anesthetic. Local anesthesia can also be used. When a procedure is completed, the color will appear darker than the final result for the two week only, this is because the color is both in the epidermis and the dermis. The color in the top layer will flake off during the healing process during that week lightening the overall effect.

Permanent make up lasts a long time, but not for ever. As you become accustomed to your new makeup it is not uncommon to want more.
I recommend that you freshen up your makeup yearly especially those with lighter colors or individual that have oily skin. . Naturally the darker the color the longer it may stay unchanged in your skin and may be retouched every couple of years.
Permanent makeup colors works with each individual’s metabolism and breakdown by the body’s natural response and since everyone is different the color may last longer depending on each individual.
It is necessary to follow a daily regimen to care for your permanent make up from gradually fading. Limit sun exposure, and use sun block daily. Avoid using creams than contain AHA products, (bleaching creams) on the permanent site. Oily skin has a tendency of gradually losing the pigment sooner than expected. The more natural the pigment color is, the more vulnerable it is to fading sooner. Overall once the pigment is implanted into the skin it’s rather difficult to express how many years it will last.
Micro-blading Technique- is a technique different from shading technique and will require at time several color touch up sooner than expected. This also varies depending on each individual skin metabolism. Color is expected to last from 6 months to a year. Permanent Makeup is not an exact science and each individual heals differently knowing this its very hard for any technician to provide you with detail of an exact length of time for color longevity.
Come prepare on your appointment day with your eyebrows , eyeliner, lips drowned in penciled the way you like it, if you prefer or you may choose for us help you with the designing. You may also bring samples of your favorite colors to help you achieve the look you desire or photos to show idea of what you like to achieve.
- Do not wear contact lenses to your appointment, bring glasses if you are doing eyeliner procedure.
- Eyelash extensions must be removed prior to eyeliner procedure because of fallout or possible allergies.
- Lip liner or lip blush procedure: if you suffer from fever blister or cold sores, you need to medicate. preoperative with Valtrex or Zovirax 2 or 3 days prior to your lip procedure and continue Rx is complete.
- No alcohol or caffeine should be consumed for 24 hours prior, this will help minimize any swelling after the procedure.
- Do not take any anticoagulant such as aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, , ginseng, Ginco Bilboa, Aleve, Motrim, Fish Oil, ibuprofen unless medically necessary, 5 days prior to your procedure, to minimize potential Hematoma formation.
- Do not take any painkillers or tranquilizers prior to treatment.
- Purchase any of these described ointments if your not allergic: Aquaphor, Vitamin A&D, After Inked or Lubriderm. You will be needing it later to apply for after care regimen at home to Lubricate the area.
Immediately post procedure, you will be provided with after care instruction to follow at home. For everyone the color appears darker for about one to two weeks. Eyebrow site swell and crust, eyelids may turn red and puffy and possibly bruise. Lips tend to swell and crust as well. Clients who tend to get fever blisters or herpes in the area of the lips may experience an outbreak during the healing process.
- Do not attempt to remove the pigment (colors) or scabs with your fingernails. It will fall by itself naturally.
- Its very important to avoid direct water on the treated area after the procedure for 5 days.
- Although many women return to work the next day, they don’t look their best for about one week during this healing interval, everything then returns to normal.
- A follow up appointment will be provided within 4 weeks to revise the treated area by adding more color or to simply enhance the shape to ensure the procedure meets your expectations.
- You may use Tylenol or Motrim if you need to relief any discomfort.
- I highly recommend using cold packs to the procedure area, can be used for the first 48 hours.
- Failure to follow the post -procedure instructions may result in a loss or discoloration of pigment resulting in a need for more frequent touchups.

1. All Needles should be new and sterile for each client. Unopened new and sterile needles should be opened in your presence.
2. Disposable sterilized one-time use machine parts should be purchased by the artist, and disposed of in a sharps container immediately after the procedure has been completed.
3. Personal protection equipment such as disposable one-time use aprons and gloves should be new for each client and changed during the procedure when needed.
4. The technician should be clean and neat.
5. Disposable one-time use chair/bed covering should be new for each client.
6. The room or treatment area should be in an area free from other contaminants. The SPCP has taken a position against permanent cosmetic procedures conducted at trade shows and in salons where nail dust, aerosols or other chemicals are present.
People can develop an allergy to anything, anytime; however, pigment allergies are considered rare. Some doctors recommend that people with environmental allergies or allergies to conventional makeup have permanent cosmetic procedures because they can replace cosmetic products that people are sensitive to. While allergic reactions to any type of tattooing pigments on the body or on the face through permanent cosmetics may occur at any point in time, they are extremely rare. A patch test can be obtain for Safety precautions.
Numerous studies have shown that even for people who have large body tattoos there is little to no potential for irritation resulting from an MRI.In the rare instance where discomfort resulted, it was localized and very temporary.
